Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leader Aein Bahadur Mahar has stated that he has received death threats for opposing the government’s wrongdoings and anti-constitutional actions.
During a program in Kathmandu on Thursday, Mahar mentioned that he has always supported the government’s good work but has received threats for opposing its wrong actions.
He further stated that he himself has been a victim of such threats recently and has received messages on WhatsApp and Messenger from abroad, threatening to kill him.
Government’s Claims of Good Governance
Mahar argued that despite the government’s claims of establishing good governance in its 100-day achievements, such actions have not been seen in practice.
He pointed out that a new situation and political vacuum have been created in the provinces, and leaders of the NCP, Congress, and other communist parties should discuss and find a suitable solution as soon as possible.
Mahar specifically mentioned that problems have arisen in the Far-West Province, where instead of focusing on people’s issues, personal matters have been given priority.
