Every child has a unique personality and way of expressing themselves. Some children openly express their emotions, while others struggle to do so. Some are sociable and enjoy being around others, while others prefer to be alone. Some children are extremely sensitive and can become emotional over small things.

These sensitive children can become instantly happy or instantly sad. They can be deeply affected by the suffering of others, bad events, or situations, and can easily be moved to tears. Noisy environments can also disturb them. However, beautiful things or kind behavior from others can inspire them.

Despite this, their sensitivity can sometimes create problems. Their peers or others may tease them or make fun of their emotional nature. So, how can parents support these children?

When the child cries, do not scold them or try to silence them. Instead, encourage them to express their emotions. Let them know that being sensitive is a good quality and that you trust them. Help them understand that their deep thinking is their strength.

If someone teases or mocks your child for being sensitive, whether it’s a teacher, family member, or classmate, you should intervene and stop them. Do not support such behavior, but rather discourage it.
