Four individuals have been arrested on charges of duping people with attractive salary offers and sending them abroad. According to the Central Police News Division, the four were arrested on Tuesday.
The accused include 32-year-old Pooja Shahi from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-17, 20-year-old Deepak Sah from Bodebarsain Municipality-3 in Saptari, 41-year-old Jayamangal Prasad Nisad from Basbariya Rural Municipality-3 in Sarlahi, and 37-year-old Mina Shrestha from Manthali Municipality-3 in Ramechhap.
According to the police, Pooja duped one person of Rs 17 lakh by promising to send them to the UK, Deepak duped one person of Rs 5 lakh by promising to send them to France, Jayamangal duped one person of Rs 4.38 lakh by promising to send them to Brunei, and Mina duped one person of Rs 6 lakh by promising to send them to the UAE.
The victims have filed complaints against the accused, alleging that they were duped with false promises of foreign employment.
