Chitwan National Park Distributes Over Rs 1.29 Crore in Relief

Chitwan National Park has distributed a total of Rs 1.29 crore in relief to the local communities affected by wildlife attacks.

According to Avinash Thapa Magar, information officer at the park, the relief amount includes compensation for human casualties, damage to crops and livestock, and property damage.

In the previous fiscal year, the park provided Rs 134,176 for general treatment of human casualties, Rs 2.94 million for serious injuries, and Rs 5 million to the families of five people who lost their lives due to wildlife attacks.

Additionally, the park provided Rs 2.36 million in compensation for livestock losses, Rs 70,000 for damaged stored grains, Rs 339,650 for damaged houses, Rs 2.18 million for damaged crops, and Rs 43,500 for damaged poultry.

The park has been providing relief to the local communities affected by wildlife attacks every year.
