A young man who climbed a Nepal Telecom tower in Malangwa, Sarlahi, has been rescued.
Afsar Alam Hussain, 24, from Bakainiya in Godaita Municipality-9, was rescued with the help of security personnel.
The District Police Office in Sarlahi had called Hussain’s family members and spoken to them over the phone, after which he climbed down from the tower.
It is suspected that Hussain had climbed the tower at night. He had called a friend at 4 am, informing him of the situation.
Rescue Efforts
A joint team of the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and the Nepalese Army was deployed for the rescue operation.
The police had called Hussain’s father and brother to the location and facilitated a phone conversation with him.
After the conversation, Hussain climbed down from the tower.
The reason behind Hussain’s decision to climb the tower is still unknown.
