A 36-year-old woman has died after eating a wild mushroom in Tulsipur, Dang. Dipa Pun Magar, a resident of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-3, Ballaki, passed away on Ashar 29, 2083.

Seven members of two families had fallen ill after consuming the wild mushroom brought from the jungle on Ashar 31, 2083. Two of them had received home treatment, while the other five were taken to the hospital.

Dipa, who had been taken to Rapti Provincial Hospital in Tulsipur for initial treatment, was later referred to Ghorahi. However, she died on the way to Kohalpur Teaching Hospital for further treatment, according to the District Police Office, Dang.

The other family members who had eaten the wild mushroom, including 75-year-old Dasharathi Pun, her 38-year-old son Damber Bahadur Pun, 36-year-old Tilak Pun, five-year-old Vipin Pun, 12-year-old Vivek Pun, and Suman Budhathoki, have returned home after receiving treatment at Rapti Provincial Hospital in Tulsipur, the police said.
