The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced a 15-member squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2, with Harprit Singh Bhatia as the captain.
Regular captain Muhammad Waseem has not been included in the team. Waseem is a specialist batter in T20Is rather than ODIs.
The UAE team will travel to Scotland on Saturday and play two practice one-day matches against Jersey on July 27 and 29. After that, the team will head to Scotland, where they will play a practice match against Scotland ‘A’ on July 31.
The UAE will play their first match in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 against Scotland on August 3, followed by a match against Canada on August 5. In the second leg, they will play Scotland again on August 9 and Canada on August 11.
All matches will be played at the Forfarshire Cricket Club ground in Dundee, Scotland.
The UAE team includes Harprit Singh Bhatia (captain), Aayan Afzal Khan, Adhitya Shetty, Akshdeep Nath, Aryansh Sharma, Dhruv Parashar, Juned Siddique, Muhammad Arfan, Muhammad Jawadullah, Muhammad Shahdad, Muhammad Mohsin, Rahul Chopra, Simranjit Singh, Soheb Khan, and Tanish Suri.
