Nepal’s Meteorological Forecasting Division has warned of heavy rainfall in some parts of the country, particularly in the Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
The monsoon low-pressure trough is currently located near the central part of the country, with most of the Koshi province’s Tarai region experiencing clear weather, while the rest of the country is experiencing partial to full cloud cover.
Light to moderate rainfall is expected in the hilly and mountainous regions of the country during the day, with thunderstorms and heavy rainfall predicted in some areas.
Heavy Rainfall Warning
There is a high likelihood of heavy rainfall in some parts of the Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, particularly in the hilly and mountainous regions.
The division has also warned of possible landslides, floods, and soil erosion in these areas due to the heavy rainfall.
