A search operation is underway in Rolpa after two women went missing in a landslide on Friday.
The incident occurred at around 1:10 pm in the Sunchahari rural municipality-1 of Rolpa when a landslide swept away the women who were grazing their cattle near the Davang Lake.
According to the District Police Office, several livestock were buried under the debris. The police have confirmed that two women are missing in the landslide, but their condition is not yet known.
The identities of the missing women and the extent of the damage to the livestock have not been confirmed yet. A police team from the Sulichaur Area Police Office has been deployed to the site to intensify the rescue and search operation.
The police said the search and rescue operation is ongoing, and a detailed account of the incident is awaited.
