Police in Nepalgunj have arrested two women in possession of 400 grams of heroin.
The arrests were made by a police team from the Narcotics Control Bureau’s Nepalgunj branch office on Wednesday.
According to the bureau, the women were caught while buying and selling heroin in Ward No. 18 of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City.
The arrested women are 33-year-old Lalita Budhathoki from Musikot Municipality, Rukum West, and 24-year-old Nisha Magar from Ward No. 18 of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City.
Police also seized 400 grams of heroin and three mobile phones from the women.
The two women have been handed over to the District Police Office in Banke for further investigation and legal action, according to Jivan Niraula, spokesperson and police sub-inspector at the Narcotics Control Bureau.
