A collision between two buses on the Muglin-Narayangadh road in Chitwan has left the road blocked. According to the Road Division Office in Chitwan, efforts are underway to clear the buses from the road.
The accident occurred near the Jalbire area, with several passengers injured. However, the exact number of injured passengers has not been confirmed.
According to the police, the buses involved in the accident are LP 02-001 Kha 0505, which was traveling from Dang to Kathmandu, and Ba 03 001 Kha 1671, which was heading from Narayangadh to Kathmandu. The number of another bus heading from Kathmandu to Narayangadh has not been disclosed.
The blue bus, which was traveling from Narayangadh to Kathmandu, collided with the Rajdhani Express bus, which was heading towards Narayangadh. The driver of the Rajdhani Express bus, who was traveling from Narayangadh to Muglin, has been seriously injured.
Road Conditions
The Chitwan District Administration Office had closed the road due to high risk of landslides and floods, but it was reopened at 6 am. However, the road has been prone to accidents and congestion since it reopened.
The Road Division Office has requested drivers to follow lane discipline and drive at a limited speed.
