Tulshipur Sub-Metropolis has enacted a total of 154 laws to date, according to Bhimbahadur Kunwar, chair of the sub-metropolis’s legislation committee.

These laws were passed between 2075 and 2083 Ashar, exercising the authority granted by Nepal’s Constitution and the Local Government Operation Act, 2074, to ensure the sub-metropolis’s services are systematic, lawful, and reliable.

Of the enacted laws, 89 are procedural, 41 are acts, and five are regulations. Additionally, the sub-metropolis has created nine standards, four directives, three action plans, and one policy, strategy, and guideline.

The legislation committee has continuously identified the need for laws, consulted with relevant agencies, and drafted and implemented them through the executive and municipal council.

Recently, in 2082, the sub-metropolis passed procedural laws related to stone registration and management, animal health programs, house maintenance cost management, and cost-sharing programs.

Other enacted laws include the formation of consumer committees and the management of water supply systems.

To further enhance the efficiency of local government services, five more laws are currently in the drafting and discussion phase, including economic assistance, communication, dairy production-based subsidies, sports development, and the operation of the Tulshipur Multipurpose Complex Building.
