Tree Plantation Program Completed in Tarkeshwar

A tree plantation program has been completed in Tarkeshwar, with around 150 trees of various species being planted.

The program, organized by the Himalayan Community Project, aimed to reduce the risk of landslides during the monsoon season and provide natural food for wildlife, particularly monkeys, in the area.

Ram Prasad Sapkota, president of the Himalayan Community Project, stated that the organization prioritizes environmental conservation and will continue to promote tree planting initiatives.

Shambhu Prasad Fuyal, ward chairman of Tarkeshwar-5, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in reducing landslide risks, managing wildlife habitats, and protecting the environment.

The program was supported by the Division Forest Office, Kathmandu.
