Traffic police in Dang have taken action against more than 14,000 vehicles for violating traffic rules in the last fiscal year 2082/83.
According to Chief of Traffic Police Office Dang, Police Inspector Keshav Khadka, a total of 14,563 vehicles were penalized, resulting in a revenue collection of over 1 crore 52 lakh 60 thousand, 500 rupees.
Inspector Khadka stated that most of the violators were motorcyclists, with over 6,000 motorcyclists facing action during the period.
In the last fiscal year, 347 road accidents occurred in the district, resulting in the loss of 72 lives. Among the deceased, 50 were men, 19 were women, and three were children.
A total of 661 vehicles were involved in these accidents.
