Tourist Arrivals Up in Chitwan National Park

Compared to the previous fiscal year, the number of tourists visiting Chitwan National Park and the buffer zone community forest has increased in the last fiscal year.

Last fiscal year, 272,923 tourists visited the area, while the previous year saw an increase in the number of visitors.

The park’s revenue also increased, with Rs 770 million collected from entrance fees and other services.

According to the park’s statistics, 1,135,198 tourists visited the park in the first six months of the current fiscal year, with 1,012,198 Nepalis and 122,999 foreigners.

The park’s authorities have attributed the increase in tourist arrivals to improved infrastructure and services, as well as the park’s conservation efforts.

The park is home to a wide range of wildlife, including the Bengal tiger, one-horned rhinoceros, and Asian elephant.

The increase in tourist arrivals is expected to boost the local economy and create jobs for the local community.
