Three people have died in separate incidents in Nepal, according to local authorities.

In Tatopani, Jumla, a 65-year-old man named Daljit Sarki died after eating a wild plant called Satuwa. He had consumed the plant at around 3:30 am and fell ill immediately. He was taken to the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences for treatment but died during the course of his treatment, police said.

In another incident, a 48-year-old man named Min Bahadur Saud died in a scooter accident in Chandannath Municipality, Jumla. The accident occurred on Saturday evening when the scooter, bearing the number plate Karnali Province 01-001 P 2782, lost control and fell on the roadside. Saud, who was from Dullu Municipality-3, Dailekh, died during treatment at the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, police said.

In a separate incident, a 71-year-old man named Parshuram Pariyar died after being swept away by the Khahare Khola river in Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality-4, Khotang. He was trying to cross the river at around 7 pm on Saturday when he was swept away. His body was found about 100 meters downstream from the spot where he was swept away, according to the Area Police Office, Bakshila, Khotang.
