Talks between the representatives of the meter bridge victims and the government negotiation team have been ongoing for nearly 6 hours.
The talks, which began at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat in Singh Durbar, are aimed at reaching an agreement on the demands of the victims.
The government negotiation team is led by Pushkar Sapkota, Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office, and includes Kaliprasad Parajuli, Joint Secretary at the Home Ministry, and Yogendra Prasad Dulal, Director General at the Land Management Department.
The victims’ team is led by Avadhesh Kushwaha, a representative from Nawalparasi (Susta East), and includes other members from various districts.
The government has expressed its commitment to providing compensation to the victims and has agreed to provide a written agreement on the demands of the victims.
The talks are expected to continue until an agreement is reached.
