The Supreme Court has ordered the officials of the Property Investigation Commission to respond in writing, citing contempt of court.

Advocate Premraj Silwal had filed a contempt case against the commission’s officials, alleging that they had misinterpreted the court’s interim order of Ashar 26, 2083.

A joint bench of Justices Tek Prasad Dhungana and Shreekant Paudel had issued the order, which the commission allegedly disobeyed by publishing a notice on Ashar 29, 2083.

The court has ordered the commission’s chairperson Rajendra Kumar Bhandari, members Purushottam Parajuli, Chandiraj Dhakal, Ganesh KC, and Prakash Lamsal, and the commission itself to respond in writing.
