Kathmandu. The government had demolished the Sukumbasi settlement along the riverside in the Kathmandu Valley in Baisakh and brought the Sukumbasi and their belongings to the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar.
After that, the government had temporarily relocated the Sukumbasi to holding centers. However, some of their belongings were left behind in the stadium.
It has been over two months since the belongings were left in the stadium. The stadium staff said that most of the belongings have been damaged due to rain and are now useless.
The stadium staff have complained that the Home Ministry and the Kathmandu Metropolitan City have not paid heed to their request to clear the belongings.
