Shrawan Mela Kicks Off in Lalitpur with Mehendi, Bhajan and Concert

A ‘Shrawan Mela’ has kicked off in Heritage Garden, Sanepa, Lalitpur, featuring a ‘Biggest Mehendi Mela’. The two-day event, organized by Classics Projects, is being held on Saturday and Sunday under the slogan ‘Celebration of the Holy Month’.

The mela is open to the public free of charge. The event aims to bring together the religious, cultural, and social significance of the Shrawan month in one place. The main attractions include a mehendi festival, bhajan concert, and a ‘Shrawan Bazaar’ featuring various religious, cultural, and commercial stalls.

The mela is open from 9 am onwards. A ‘Shrawan Run’ has also been organized from 6 am to promote health and fitness. Various institutions, including Machhapuchchhre Bank and Big Mart, have provided commercial support and sponsorship for the event.

According to the organizers, the mela has been organized to celebrate the religious, cultural, and social significance of the Shrawan month in one place. The event features a mehendi festival, bhajan concert, and various stalls selling religious, cultural, and commercial products.
