Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Govinda Panthi has stated that an objective review of the release of former Deputy Prime Minister and CPN-UML Vice Chairman Vishnu Paudel is necessary.
Panthi made the remarks on social media, saying that the Department of Money Laundering Investigation’s decision to release Paudel should be scrutinized.
Paudel was released on Ashar 29, 2083, after being detained for several months in connection with a corruption case.
Panthi’s comments come amid growing public debate over the handling of high-profile corruption cases in the country.
