Soccer star Rodri has been awarded the Golden Ball award, given to the tournament’s best player, after leading Spain to their second FIFA World Cup title.

Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 in the final, with Rodri playing a crucial role in the team’s midfield. The 27-year-old has been instrumental in Spain’s success, controlling the ball and contributing to the team’s attacks.

This is Spain’s second World Cup title, with their first win coming in 2010 under the captaincy of goalkeeper Iker Casillas. Rodri is the second captain to lead Spain to a World Cup victory.

Golden Boot Award

France captain Kylian Mbappe has won the Golden Boot award for the second consecutive time, scoring 10 goals in the tournament. Mbappe is the first player to win the award in back-to-back World Cups.

Argentina captain Lionel Messi took home the Silver Ball award, while France captain Mbappe received the Bronze Ball award.

Other Awards

Spain’s goalkeeper Unai Simon won the Golden Glove award for his outstanding performance in the tournament, while 19-year-old Barcelona defender Pau Torres won the award for the best young player.

Sixty minutes into the final, Simon set a new record for the most minutes played in a World Cup without conceding a goal. He also achieved a clean sheet in seven out of eight matches.

Torres impressed with his defensive skills, helping Spain secure their second World Cup title.

Mbappe’s 10 goals in the tournament earned him the Golden Boot award, with Messi taking home the Silver Boot award for scoring eight goals. England’s Jude Bellingham won the Bronze Boot award with seven goals.
