Government employees are taking advantage of the two-day weekend to use official vehicles for personal trips, raising concerns about the misuse of government property.

The practice of using red number plates on government vehicles, instead of the standard white plates, has become increasingly common. This is despite the fact that the government has made arrangements for separate number plates for official vehicles.

According to the Vehicle and Transportation Management Act, official vehicles are required to have a distinct number plate with red letters and numbers on a white background. However, the use of red number plates on government vehicles has made it difficult to distinguish between official and private use.

As a result, government employees are able to use official vehicles for personal trips on weekends, without being easily identified. This has raised concerns about the misuse of government property and the potential security risks associated with it.

The government has not taken any action to address this issue, despite the fact that it is aware of the problem. The use of red number plates on government vehicles has become a common practice, and it is unclear how long it will continue.
