National Independent Party (RSP) Chairman Ravi Lamichhane and Vice-Chairman and Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle have arrived at the Dusit Thani Himalayan Resort in Dhulikhel, Kavrepalanchok.
According to sources, Finance Minister Wagle arrived at the resort on Saturday at 3 pm. Chairman Lamichhane, accompanied by his wife Nikita Poudel, arrived at 3:20 pm.
The resort has an investment from Finance Minister Wagle. He is staying in a villa with his own investment. The reason for their visit has not been disclosed.
Recent Tensions
There have been various reports in the media recently regarding the relationship between Prime Minister Balen Shah and Finance Minister Dr. Wagle.
Last week, Prime Minister Balen and Chairman Lamichhane met, and they discussed the issue of Finance Minister Wagle. Lamichhane expressed concern to Prime Minister Balen about what issues were not being discussed with Finance Minister Wagle.
Wagle had previously expressed dissatisfaction with the party leadership regarding the government’s operation.
Recently, Prime Minister Balen did not include Finance Minister Wagle in discussions with various industrialists, businessmen, and construction entrepreneurs.
Prime Minister Balen’s decision to hold a meeting with the private sector without Wagle, despite the government’s 100-day deadline approaching, has sparked numerous comments from party leaders.
Meanwhile, the sudden arrival of Lamichhane and Wagle at a resort near the capital on Saturday evening has been viewed as a significant development within the ruling party RSP.
