Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Japan Chapter Objects to MP Gyanendra Shahi’s Remarks

Rastriya Swatantra Party’s (RSP) Japan chapter has expressed strong objections to remarks made by Member of Parliament Gyanendra Shahi during a Facebook Live session.

In a press statement issued on Sunday, the party’s Japan chapter accused Shahi of making derogatory and unparliamentary remarks against social media users and RSP supporters who were unaware of the facts.

The statement claimed that Shahi’s remarks were against the principles of democracy, political decorum, and the dignity of public office.

The RSP’s Japan chapter has urged Shahi to reflect on his remarks and issue a public apology.

If Shahi fails to apologize, the party has warned that it will take necessary steps in accordance with democratic, constitutional, and legal procedures.

The statement was signed by Deepak KC, president of the RSP’s Japan chapter, and Phanindra Sharma Suvedi, general secretary.
