Pokhara Metropolitan City Provides Incentives to Cattle Farmers

Pokhara Metropolitan City has provided incentives and improved breed seeds to cattle farmers. In the fiscal year 2081-82, 550 cattle farmers from 19 wards received an incentive of Rs 10,000 each, totaling Rs 5.5 million. This year, the same farmers were targeted for improved breed seed distribution.

Manohar Kadarial, chief of the agriculture department of the metropolitan city, said that providing incentives to cattle farmers has also reduced the trend of leaving fields barren. The metropolitan city has provided the most incentives to farmers in wards 21, 16, 24, 23, 20, 22, 18, 28, 31, 33, 13, 19, 27, 26, 25, 32, and 6.
