The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Committee has set the maximum wholesale prices for various vegetables in Nepal.

According to the committee, the prices of various vegetables are as follows: large Nepali eggplants cost Rs 50 per kilogram, small local eggplants cost Rs 20 per kilogram, small tunnel eggplants cost Rs 35 per kilogram, red potatoes (long) cost Rs 48 per kilogram, red potatoes (round) cost Rs 47 per kilogram, red potatoes (mud) cost Rs 47 per kilogram, and Indian red potatoes cost Rs 35 per kilogram.

Other vegetables and their prices include carrots (local) at Rs 120 per kilogram, carrots (Tarai) at Rs 90 per kilogram, cauliflower (local) at Rs 30 per kilogram, cabbage (local) at Rs 120 per kilogram, white radish (hybrid) at Rs 40 per kilogram, and long beans at Rs 80 per kilogram.

The prices of fruits are also fixed, with Fuji apples costing Rs 300 per kilogram, Nepali bananas at Rs 300 per dozen, and Malbhog bananas at Rs 200 per dozen. Other fruits and their prices include oranges at Rs 500 per kilogram, mangoes (Malda) at Rs 200 per kilogram, and watermelons (green) at Rs 70 per kilogram.

The committee has also set prices for various spices and fish, including ginger at Rs 220 per kilogram, dried red chilies at Rs 500 per kilogram, and dried fish at Rs 1,000 per kilogram.

These prices are subject to change and may vary depending on the market and availability of the products.
