Nepal’s ruling parties, the Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) and the Communist Party of Nepal, have reached an agreement on leadership of the provincial governments.
According to the agreement, the Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) will lead three provinces, while the Communist Party of Nepal will lead two.
The agreement was reached between the two parties’ leaders, KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, on Saturday.
As per the agreement, the Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) will lead the provinces of Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini, while the Communist Party of Nepal will lead the provinces of Karnali and Sudurpashchim.
