Nepal’s CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Centre have signed a written agreement to cooperate in the provincial government.
The agreement was signed by CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Saturday.
Agreement Details
According to the agreement, the two parties will work together in five provinces. CPN-UML will have a significant presence in the Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces, while CPN-Maoist Centre will have a strong presence in the Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.
The agreement is seen as a significant development in Nepal’s politics, as it paves the way for cooperation between the two major communist parties in the country.
