A recent investigation by the Property Laundering Investigation Department has revealed that a company owned by Jayveer Deuwa, son of former Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuwa, received over 2 crores from a company owned by businessman Deepak Bhattarai.

The investigation department had filed a charge sheet against 14 individuals and companies, including Vishnu Poudel, at the Special Court on Thursday.

According to the charge sheet, Jayveer’s investment company, Scholar International, and another company, DG Hat, received 2 crores 60 lakhs from Deepak Bhattarai’s company.

The department has stated that further investigation will be conducted into the matter and necessary action will be taken according to the law.

Earlier, the department had summoned Jayveer Deuwa to appear before it within 7 days, but he has not appeared yet.
