Nepal’s national volleyball team has departed for Islamabad, Pakistan, to participate in the Kavha Men’s Volleyball Championship.
The team was bid farewell by the Nepal Volleyball Association in a ceremony on Sunday.
This marks the first time Nepal’s men’s team will be competing in a world-ranked tournament, which is scheduled to take place from July 22 to 29.
The Nepali team, led by captain Harijung Thapa, includes six new players.
Jagdish Prasad Bhatt is the team’s coach, while Roopesh Kumar Vishwakarma is the assistant coach.
A total of six teams, including Nepal and host country Pakistan, will be competing in the tournament.
Coach Bhatt stated that the players have completed the necessary preparations for the tournament and aim to achieve an excellent result in the international competition.
Team captain Harijung Thapa expressed his commitment to delivering an outstanding performance in line with the expectations of all Nepalis.
