The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies has urged the public to refrain from selling and distributing substandard and counterfeit footwear products in the market.
The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection has issued a statement calling on the public to avoid selling and distributing footwear products that lack a ‘level’ or have poor quality, and those that are smuggled or pirated.
The department has also requested the public to report any such activities to the authorities.
The move is aimed at protecting consumers from substandard and counterfeit products and promoting fair trade practices in the market.
