The Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Environment has announced that 1,250 metric tonnes of DAP fertiliser will arrive in Nepal on Sunday.
The fertiliser, which was purchased through a global tender, had arrived at Kolkata Port in India on July 10. Of this, 1,250 metric tonnes of fertiliser was dispatched to Nepal on Ashar 1.
The remaining fertiliser is still at Kolkata Port, where packaging work is underway. Once the packaging is complete, the fertiliser will be transported to Nepal in phases, according to the Ministry’s Secretary.
The management of fertiliser supply is being handled by the Agriculture Inputs Company.
