Nepal Seizes Over 18 Lakh Worth of Contraband in Siraha

Siraha’s Armed Police Force Number 7 Gan Headquarters has seized contraband worth over 18 lakh 19 thousand 738 rupees from various border areas of the district.

The seized items include motorcycles, liquor, clothes, grocery items, cosmetics, and Asian Paints, among others.

All the seized goods have been handed over to the Siraha Customs Office for necessary action in accordance with the prevailing customs laws and regulations.

Crackdown on Smuggling

According to Ganpati (SP) Suman Jung Thapa Magar of the Armed Police Force Number 7 Gan Headquarters, the force has intensified its surveillance and checks to control smuggling and revenue evasion in the border areas.

Thapa Magar stated that such operations will continue to ensure border security and control the smuggling of contraband.

As part of this effort, the police have been seizing contraband items.
