Nepal’s Federal Parliament Secretariat has reminded members of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly to submit their asset details as per the law.
According to the Corruption Prevention Act, 2059, and the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority Act, 2048, federal lawmakers have been urged to submit their asset details within 60 days of the end of the fiscal year 2082/83.
Adhiraj Rai, Under-Secretary at the Parliament Secretariat, requested MPs to submit updated details of their assets, including the source of the property and any changes, in a sealed envelope to the MP Facility Management Branch.
The move is aimed at ensuring transparency and accountability among lawmakers.
