The Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies has urged manufacturers, traders, and sellers not to sell or distribute substandard, counterfeit, or smuggled footwear in the market.

The Department of Commerce, Supplies, and Consumer Protection made the appeal after receiving complaints and grievances from various sources.

According to the Consumer Protection Act, 2075, manufacturers are required to label their products with the required standards, while smugglers must comply with the conditions set by the law.

The Act also ensures that consumers have the right to receive quality goods and services.

The department has informed all producers, smugglers, transporters, and sellers to comply with their duties and conditions as per the law.

It has also warned that anyone found violating the law will face strict action.
