Nepal Medical Association Urges Government to Address Dr. Keshav’s Demands

Nepal Medical Association has urged the government to address the demands of Dr. Govind Keshi, who has been on a hunger strike for the 24th time, calling for reforms in medical education and the health sector.

In a press statement released on Saturday, the association expressed concern over Dr. Keshi’s health, which has been deteriorating due to the hunger strike. The statement noted that Dr. Keshi’s age and recent surgery have put his health at greater risk.

The association stated that Dr. Keshi’s demands are justified and urged the government and concerned authorities to address them immediately to save his life. "Considering Dr. Keshi’s age and recent surgery, we urge the government and all concerned parties to address his justified demands with sensitivity," the statement read.
