Nepal Man Dies After Being Stung by Asian Giant Hornet

A 22-year-old man has died after being stung by an Asian giant hornet in Gulmi district, Nepal.

Purna Siu Thami Magar, a resident of Satyawati rural municipality-5, Hasara, was stung by the hornet on the night of Shrawan 2 while trying to burn its nest near his home.

According to the police, Magar was rushed to Mission Hospital for initial treatment and later referred to Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal for further treatment.

Despite being kept in the intensive care unit (ICU), Magar’s condition deteriorated, and he died on the night of Shrawan 8 while undergoing treatment.

The District Police Office in Gulmi has said that necessary legal proceedings have been initiated into the incident.
