The Nepal Judiciary Council has recommended the transfer of 207 judges, including 50 high court judges and 157 district court judges.
The council’s meeting on Thursday made the recommendation, which includes the transfer of judges to various districts.
According to the recommendation, Judge Dayaram Dhakal has been transferred to Nuwakot District Court, Churaman Khadka to Ilam, Hariprasad Sharma Upadhyay to Baitadi, Matrika Prasad Acharya to Makwanpur, and Deepak Kumar Dahal to Ramechhap.
The council has also recommended the appointment of Judge Vasudev Acharya, currently serving at the High Court in Tulsipur, as the president of the Special Court in Kathmandu.
Additionally, the council has recommended Judge Deependra Adhikari, currently serving at the High Court in Surkhet, as the president of the Labour Court.
