Nepal Education Ministry Holds Talks with Dr Govinda KC

The Education and Sports Ministry has sent its secretary, Chudamani Paudel, to Dhangadhi to hold talks with Dr Govinda KC, who is on a hunger strike.

Secretary Paudel arrived in Dhangadhi on Saturday, following a telephone conversation between Dr KC and Education Minister Sashmit Pokharel on Friday evening.

The move is part of the government’s efforts to find a negotiated settlement to Dr KC’s strike through dialogue.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister’s health advisor Dr JP Agrawal and Health Secretary are also scheduled to visit Dhangadhi on Sunday to hold talks with Dr KC.

The government has intensified its efforts to find a peaceful resolution to Dr KC’s strike through negotiations.
