Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal has stressed the need to reunify the communist movement in Nepal.
Speaking at a programme organised in Kathmandu on Saturday to mark the 13th memorial day of NCP founder leader Nar Bahadur Karmacharya, Dahal recalled the contributions of leaders like Pushpa Lal and Nar Bahadur during the current state of the Nepali communist movement.
Dahal said that the movement needs to be revitalised and unified to address the current challenges, including threats to national sovereignty, and to fight against authoritarian tendencies.
He also paid tribute to Nar Bahadur Karmacharya’s role as a key ally of Pushpa Lal in the labour movement, class struggle, and revolution.
Dahal noted that it is not enough to be active for just a few years or to give up, but rather to remain committed to one’s ideology, principles, and goals throughout one’s life.
He praised Nar Bahadur for remaining steadfast in his revolutionary ideals throughout his life.
