NC President Thapa Condemns Attack on Rastriya Swatantra Party MP

Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has condemned the attack on Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Member of Parliament (MP) Ganesh Paudel.

Through a Facebook post, President Thapa stated that disagreement should be addressed through dialogue, debate, and democratic processes, not through violence or insult.

‘The attack on MP Ganesh Paudel is condemnable,’ he wrote, ‘If there is a disagreement, the response should be given through conversation, debate, and democratic process, not through violence or insult.’

MP Paudel, who was elected from Bara-4, was attacked with black ink.

‘In democracy, thoughts can be different, and disagreements can occur,’ President Thapa wrote, ‘However, attacking someone with black ink, misbehaving, or engaging in anarchic activities is unacceptable under any circumstances.’
