The appointment of the Vice-Chancellor of Lumbini Buddhist University has been put on hold. The interview and presentation of the candidates who were shortlisted on Ashar 13, 2083, have been completed, but the appointment has not been made even after 19 days.

The appointment process for the Vice-Chancellor of Lumbini Buddhist University was carried out simultaneously with seven other universities. The appointments for the other universities were made on Ashar 19, 2083.

A Ministry of Education and Sports official told RatoPati that the interview and presentation have been completed and the numbers have been finalized and submitted. The decision now rests with the committee.

Eleven people had applied for the position of Vice-Chancellor of Lumbini Buddhist University, out of which seven were shortlisted. The shortlisted candidates include Chandrakala Ghimire, Tilakram Acharya, Deepak Prasad Acharya, Fanindra Kumar Nyaupane, Yasodhara Bhetuwal, Sharada Paudel, and Surendra Man Bajracharya.

The recommendation committee, led by Education Minister Sashmit Pokharel, had conducted the presentation and interview of the shortlisted candidates on Ashar 13, 2083.
