Hetauda Sub-Metropolis Supports Traditional Craft Preservation

Hetauda Sub-Metropolis has committed to preserving traditional crafts, art, and occupations.

The sub-metropolis has included the preservation and promotion of various communities’ traditional crafts, art, and occupations in its annual policy and program for the fiscal year 2083-84.

Under the policy ‘Entrepreneurial Hands: The Beginning of Prosperity’, new entrepreneurs will be provided with technical assistance and skills training, according to Mayor Meena Kumari Lama.

Support for Local Industries

The policy and program also mention providing support for the leveling, branding, and marketing of products from industries such as Gundruk, Masyaura, Dhaka, Abir, Keshari, Dragon, Meva, Kera’s Resa, Khua, and Kasth Thekli.

The sub-metropolis will also collaborate with various organizations to promote new entrepreneurs and support skill development, business expansion, and marketing.

Empowering Women

Under the slogan ‘Empowered Women, Prosperous Society’, the sub-metropolis has made arrangements for free registration of production-based industries in the name of women for women’s empowerment.

The sub-metropolis also plans to provide a 100% tax exemption for the first year to new industries that provide direct employment to at least 15 people.

Promoting Local Products

According to the policy ‘Local Production and Entrepreneurship, Hetauda Sub-Metropolis’s Koseli House’, the sub-metropolis will establish a Koseli House in Hetauda-10 to display and sell products from various entrepreneurs.

The sub-metropolis will also continue and expand the ‘One Ward One Enterprise’ program in collaboration with the Small and Micro Enterprise Development Program to eradicate poverty.
