Most parts of Sudurpashchim Province have been experiencing rainfall since early morning, with Baitadi being the worst affected. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported moderate to heavy rainfall in the hilly and mountainous regions, with some areas experiencing thunderstorms.
According to the division, the highest amount of rainfall has been recorded in Belauri, Kanchanpur, with 79.6 mm of rainfall. The water level in the rivers is expected to rise, and the division has warned of possible flash floods.
The division’s chief, Sanjay Kumar Sah, has advised people living in the riverine areas to be cautious and take necessary precautions. "There is a high chance of heavy rainfall tomorrow, which may cause the water level in the rivers to rise," he said.
The division has also forecast moderate to heavy rainfall in the Tarai region, with some areas experiencing thunderstorms. The rainfall is expected to continue throughout the day, with the possibility of heavy rainfall in some areas.
