Kathmandu. The police have arrested four individuals from Kathmandu on charges of online gambling.
According to Police Inspector Pawan Kumar Bhattarai of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, the four were arrested from Narayanchaur in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-1. The police also seized internet servers, SIM cards, laptops, and mobile phones.
The arrested individuals are Tekendra Shahi from Kalikot, Vishwa Regmi from Bardia, Ajay Mahatara, and Aditya Valmiki from Banke. They were found to have used various gambling apps and websites to engage in online gambling.
It has been revealed that they had transacted a total of Rs 1 crore 96 lakh 3 thousand 519 through mobile banking. The police are conducting further investigations.
