Four individuals, including three Indians, have been arrested by the Makwanpur District Police Office on charges of online fraud.

The arrests were made based on a tip-off, and the suspects were found to be operating from the Basthola Hotel in Hetauda, Makwanpur.

The arrested individuals include 27-year-old Indrajit Sarkar, 20-year-old Saharshjit Sarkar, and 23-year-old Amanraj Sarkar, all from Patna, India, as well as 37-year-old Deepak Bastola, the owner of the Basthola Hotel.

According to the police, the suspects had been luring people with various promises and cheating them online. During the investigation, it was found that the suspects had been using mobile phones to operate Telegram and WhatsApp groups for financial transactions.

The police have informed that the suspects are being further investigated under the Online Fraud Act, and the case has been filed in the Hetauda District Court.
