Ashar 29, Kathmandu. Continuous rainfall has caused flooding in Kathmandu’s Maitighar area.
On Sunday, water accumulation on the roads disrupted traffic movement, while pedestrians faced difficulties navigating through the area.
Some vehicles were seen moving at a slow pace due to the rising water level on the roads. Pedestrians were forced to wade through the water to continue their journey.
The concerned authorities have urged the public to exercise caution in the flooded areas and use alternative routes if necessary.
Heavy rainfall has caused flooding in 10 participation roads in the Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Poor drainage management has led to frequent flooding in the Maitighar area.
The metropolitan city has stated that it is working to rescue stranded vehicles with the help of traffic police.
