A financial aid of 59,081 rupees has been provided to the family of Bhaktabahadur Adhikari, who was killed in a knife attack in Khotaang.
The aid was collected from various donors, including those from Kathmandu and other cities, and was handed over to the victim’s family by Vishal Bhattarai, a member of the Constituent Assembly.
Bhaktabahadur, also known as Dhruv, was killed on Ashar 25 in a dispute over a labor payment. He was attacked with a knife by Tilakbahadur Sarki, who has since been arrested by the police.
The incident occurred when Bhaktabahadur went to collect his labor payment for plowing Tilakbahadur’s field in Falgun. The victim was a daily wage laborer who supported his family of four.
The financial aid was collected through an initiative led by Rajkumar Karki, which aimed to support Bhaktabahadur’s pregnant wife and two daughters.
