A technical issue has caused Facebook’s browser version to go down, leaving users unable to access their accounts.
On Sunday, Facebook users were met with a message stating that their account was ‘temporarily unavailable’ due to a site problem.
The message read: ‘Your account is temporarily unavailable due to a site problem. We expect this to be resolved shortly. Please try again in a few minutes.’
According to the DownDetector website, the number of people searching for ‘Facebook down’ surged around 1:30 pm on Sunday.
It is not clear what caused the technical issue or when the service will be restored.
